Ticket prices slashed after poor spectator turn out at Asia Cup matches

Following the poor turn-up at matches of the ongoing Asia Cup especially when home country Sri Lanka played Bangladesh at the R. Premadasa Cricket Stadium on Saturday, the Pakistan Cricket Board who are hosting the tournament has decided to bring down the price of tickets for the remaining matches from yesterday’s India-Pakistan match.

All the Super 4 remaining matches including the final are scheduled to be played at the R. Premadasa Cricket Stadium.

The ticket rates for the Super 4 matches were priced in US dollars ranging from $10-50 (approx. Rs. 3,200-16,000).

The revised ticket prices for the C and D stands are:

C & D Upper Block: Rs. 1000 per ticket
C & D Lower Block: Rs. 500 per ticket

The price reduction is not applicable to the final on 17 September.
