Trinity and Richmond clash at Under-19 Limited overs final

Unbeaten Richmond College will meet Trinity College in their Sri Lanka Schools conducted Under-19 Limited overs final encounter which will be played at Thurstan ground today.

Richmond is led by Tharinda Nimal and coached by Lakmal de Silva while Trinitians are led by Rahal Amarasinghe with Naveen Ekanayake being the head coach of the outfit.

Richmond won all their eight matches and in the quarter finals they beat St. Joseph’s and St. Benedict’s in the semi-finals encounter. Meanwhile, Trinity won five of their first-round matches and in the quarter final encounter they beat St. Sebastian’s and the semi-final encounter beat their traditional rivals St. Anthony’s College. 

36 teams played in two group with the top eight from each group qualifying for the knock out stages.
