Trinity College maintained their winning form in their Inter School rugby encounters when they beat Dharmaraja College by 43 points (6 tries, 5 conversions, 1 penalty) to nil yesterday at their Pallekelle Rugby Stadium.
At the short breather Trinity led 14/0.
Trinity displayed some quality open rugby to register their second win this season. They opened scoring early in the first half through Lithmal Moragoda. Thamuditha Dodanwatte added the extras. A few minutes later they scored their second try through Minidu Jaysundera. Dodanwatte was on target again to take the lead 14/0.
After the turn around Trinity scored through a forwards rush when Bawantha Dharmapala touched down. Dodanwatte added the extras.
Both team at time lost their cool and one player from each team was booked for Yellow Card offence. Then it was Burly Kaveesha Amarasekera’s turn to score the next Trinity try with Ravindu Wickremasinghe adding the extras. Dodanwatte added the extras. Bashana Wijesinghe scored the last Trinity try. Minidu Jayasundera put over a penalty.
