Trinity through to final

Trinity College Kandy Under 13 cricketers created history when they qualified themselves for the final of the Under 13 Singer Cup, with a bonus points win over Prince of Wales College in Hikkaduwa recently. This is the first time Trinity has qualified for the final at this age group, which the previous best under Niroshan Dickwella when they came in to the semi-finals.

Trinity won the toss and elected to bat first on a batting track, where they scored 178 for 5 with a fine 90 by Dimantha Mahavithange. In reply, the Moratuwa school could score only 123 for 6 at stumps. Trinity will play Maliyadeva in the final at a neutral venue; the date too is yet be confirmed.
