Trinity vs Antonian one day encounter today

Trinity College will meet their traditional rivals, Antonians in their 50 overs encounter which will be played at the Asgiriya Stadium in Kandy today.

This encounter played for Aluvihare Trophy and Trinity is leading the tally with 19 against Antonians 17 while 1 encounter ending in a tie and 3 ending in no decision due to rain.

Trinity is led by Rahal Amarasinghe while Antonians by Lahiru Abeysinghe. In the first encounter Antonians were led by Angelo Liyanage while former Test cricketer, Ravi Ratnayake led the Trinity outfit. The 2020 and 2021 encounters were not played due to Covid. Trinity is dominating the one-day series since 2013 winning 6 times while one game ending in a tie. Antonians’ last win came in 2012. Meanwhile Trinity last won at Asgiriya under Akram Muthalib in 2022 while Antonians had their last win at Asgiriya 16 years ago in 2006 under S Munas.
