Trinity wins Kandy Schools U-20 B Division football

Trinity College won the Under-19 Kandy Schools Football tournament which concluded at their Pallekelle Rugby ground recently.

Trinity beat St. Anthony’s 13/1, in the first game, they beat their rivals St. Anthony’s College by 13 goals to 1, Wariyapola Sri Sumangala College 4/1, Dharmaraja 5/0, and drew with St. Sylvester’s 2/2. 

Meanwhile Dharmaraja ended third in the group encounter pushing Sumangala to fourth position and Antonians had a bad tournament ending as last in the group.

Top two teams in the group stages, Trinity and Sylvester’s moved forward to the knock out stages of the tournament. 

Trinity outfit was coached by Sanoj Srinath with Stephen Asher leading the outfit while MIC is Kusal Perera.
