Two Sri Lankan players Durgha Hopman and Mudhitha Manori left a lasting impression at the 2024 Hockey World Cup in Auckland, helping Alliance International women’s team secure a bronze medal in the over-45 age group.
The team, which brought together players from six different countries, showcased an impressive display of skill and determination.
The 2024 Hockey World Cup was held from 7 to16 November in Auckland, New Zealand, featuring teams from around the world competing in this prestigious event.
Sri Lanka’s Durgha and Mudhitha played alongside teammates from the USA, Australia, England and New Zealand, and faced the national teams of Germany, Australia, England, Argentina and Chile.
