The Singer Schools Rugby League 2018 second round will kick off this weekend with the top eight teams competing in the Cup Championship and the bottom four schools, along with the top four teams from IB, participating in the Plate Championship. The Petrites will be in Kandy for the first time this season when they lock horns with the revamped Trinity outfit.
The two unbeaten teams, Royal College and St. Peter’s College, are top favourites with the defending champions, Royal, holding a slight edge over the Bambalapitiya outfit. They will be joined by St. Joseph’s College, Kingswood College, Trinity College, Isipathana College, Wesley College and Zahira College.
St. Thomas’ College, St. Anthony’s College, D. S. Senanayake College, Dharmaraja College, Science College, Maliyadeva College, Vidyartha College and Lumbini College will make up the Plate teams.
