VCGR Monthly Medal: Haroon, Reshan stamp their class

Top class young sensational golfers, Haroon Aslam (17) and Reshan Algama (13) won their respective segments at the Monthly Medal of the Victoria Golf Country Resort (VGCR) event which took place at Rajawella recently.

In the net event, youngsters Reshan Algama and Haroon Aslam both ended on equal points at 69 a-piece. After the count back, it was Reshan who ended as the winner, pushing Haroon to the runner-up position. Since Haroon won the Gross and each player was allowed to win only one medal, the runner-up went to Prassana Liyanage. 

Meanwhile, the Gross event was won by Haroon with a score of 72, followed by Reshan Algama with 75 points, but due to Reshan winning the Net this award went to Yuki Asakawa.

Numbers were restricted due to COVID, and 17 golfers took part in this event. There was no ladies event taking place this time around.
