Veteran C.P.P. Raj takes helm at Lanka Cavaliers

The Annual General Meeting of the Lanka Cavaliers was held at the Mercantile Cricket Association (MCA) on the 7th of February 2021, at which outgoing President Tony Gunawardena officially handed over the reins to veteran cricketer C.P.P. Raj as the President for 2021/22.  

Elected to the Executive Committee were: Wasanthalal Fernando (Senior Vice President), Commodore Nishantha de Silva (Vice President), Sirosha Gunatilake (Secretary), Mahesh Wijayanayake (Treasurer), Manoj Perera (Asst. Secretary), Renuka Nonis (Asst. Treasurer), Ravi Subasinghe (Cricket Secretary) and Nalliah Devarajan (Cricket Capt.).

The new members joining the Lanka Cavaliers were Rohan Buultjens, Johann Peiris, Deepal Ahangama, Suranjith Dharmasena, Rohana Dissanayake, and Sampath Wickramaarachchi.

All past Presidents were felicitated for their invaluable contribution rendered towards the welfare and success of the club for the past 23 years.

This year, the Lanka Cavaliers calendar will consist of two memorial matches for Senaka Angulugaha and Jayalath Aponso. The AGM concluded with a social and dinner.
