Haroon Aslam accounts for the Nett win at VGCR

Top class young golfer, Haroon Aslam was in peak form at the Victoria Golf and Country Resort (VGCR) Monthly Medal (July) which took place at their club course in Rajawella recently.

Haroon had a very good Nett score of 72 won the event beating G. Sriharan who had a good score of 74. Haroon won the Nett with Sriharan walking away with the runner up trophy. Meanwhile in the Ladies event it was Pauline Morley winning the event.

In the Gross event ever green golfer, Ahalya Rajan stamped her class winning with a gross score of 92. In the Men’s though Haroon scored a gross score of 74 he could not win the event according to the club rule as each winner can win only one of the events. This event was won by D. Ponnambalam (82) with Yuki Asakawa (87) ended as runner up. (SJ)
