Sampath continued his sparkling form with a belligerent 65 runs in 27 balls, inclusive of 08 sixes and 03 fours, as he steered Hayleys Group to a comfortable 06 wickets win over BBK Partnership, in the 30th Singer – MCA Super Premier League T+20 Tournament 2023, which got underway on Monday, 15 May.

In the other 02 matches played on the same day, John Keells riding on 02 half tons by Kavin Bandara (60) and S. Jayatillaka (51) beat C.L. Synergy by 06 wickets on the DLS method; and CDB Finance helped by a stylish 59 runs by Oshada Fernando, romped to a 41 runs win over Mode Engineering.
