Vidyartha win William Goppallawa Shield

Vidyartha College beat Ananda College 38/24 in their Big Match played for the William Goppallawa Shield which took place at the Bogambara Stadium in Kandy.

The 51st Rugby Encounter was initiated 1962 in rugby and the Shield was presented by William Goppallawa in 1967. Out of the 51 games played Vidyartha has won 28 games, Ananda 21 and two drawn.
