Viren and Isuru fastest at Eliyakanda Hill Climb for second consecutive year

Viren Botheju competing in the SLGT cars up to 3500cc event recorded the fastest time of 31.940 seconds at the Southern ‘Totachi’ Eliyakanda Hill Climb held at Browns Hill Matara while Isuru Maduranga riding a Yamaha YZ 250F clocked 33.932 seconds to be the fastest on two wheels. The duo were the fastest driver and rider at the 28th edition held in 2024 at which Viren clocked 31.359 seconds and Isuru clocked 33.512 seconds.

The course record for the 540 meter Eliyakanda track is held by Ashan Silva 31.260 seconds while Sangeeth Suriyage holds the course record for motorcycles clocking 33.439 seconds.

The winners at the 29th edition of the Eliyakanda Hill Climb conducted by the Southern Motor Sports Club
