Virendra rising star with stellar determination

In the realm of rallycross, the name Virendra Liyanwala, at the tender age of seven, has already left an indelible mark. Hailing from Colombo International School (CIS), this young rider recently clinched victory at the inaugural rallycross in Mahameruwa, organised by SLADAR.

Liyanwala faced adversity at the Cavelry Supercross, but his unyielding spirit shone through, propelling him to reclaim his position in the fiercely competitive Mahameruwa rally. The battle against seasoned contender Mohamed Hakam was intense, yet Virendra’s audacious manoeuvre in a risky corner secured his triumphant first place.

His consistent dominance in races held in Nuwara Eliya in both in April 2023 and August 2023 further cements his status as a force to be reckoned with.

Virendra Liyanwala’s story is one of unwavering perseverance, proving that age is no barrier to success in the thrilling world of rallycross. As he continues to navigate the twists and turns of the racing circuit, his never-ending spirit serves as an inspiration to aspiring young racers worldwide.
