Vishenka leads National Youth Under-18 rugby outfit

Peterites’ Vishenka Silva will lead the Under-18 Sri Lanka Youth rugby outfit for the tour of Malaysia.

The team left the island today in the morning hours. The tournament will take place in Johor Bahru on 28 and 29 September.

The touring squad, subject to approval of the Sports Ministry, is as follows: Vishenka Silva (Capt.) (St. Peter’s), Thrinethra Dodangoda (Vice Capt.) (Isipathana), Shaakib Zumri, Nimantha Sandeepa (both from Isipathana), Disas Pathirana (Royal), Khaizer Lye, Mohammed Fawas (both from Wesley), Nethushan Peiris, Senuth Bimsara (both from St. Peter’s), Sadeesha Weerawansa (Dharmaraja), Luqman Hakeem (Zahira), and Thatheera Perera (DS).

Head Coach is Rajiv Perera.
