Vishmi leads Sri Lanka U-19 for Quadrangular in India

Sri Lanka U-19 Women’s Captain Vishmi Gunaratne

National cricketer 17-year-old Vishmi Gunaratne was named captain of the Sri Lanka Under-19 team to participate in the Women’s Under-19 quadrangular in India.

The 15-member squad which leaves tonight will play their matches at Vizag on 13 November against India U19B, 15 November against West Indies U-19 and on 17 November against India U-19A. 

The final will be played on 19 November.  

The squad of 15 comprises: Vishmi Gunaratne (Captain, Rathnavali Girls School, Gampaha), Dewmi Vihanga (Vice-Captain, Rathnavali Girls School, Gampaha), Sanjana Kavindi (Devapathiraja National School, Rathgama), Umaya Rathnayake (Rathnavali Girls School, Gampaha), Rashmi Nethranjali (Devapathiraja National School, Rathgama), Rashmika Sewwandi (Anura College, Matara), Manudi Nanayakkara (Princess of Wales College, Moratuwa), Sumudu Nisansala (Devapathiraja National School, Rathgama), Pamoda Shaini (Anura College, Matara), Vidushika Perera (Rathnavali Girls School, Gampaha), Dulanga Dissanayake (Anula College, Nugegoda), Rishmi Sanjana (Anura College, Matara),     Nethmi Senarathne (Wadduwa Central College, Wadduwa), Harini Perera (Princes of Wales College, Moratuwa), Vihara Sewwandi (Devapathiraja National School, Rathgama).
