Warrior Rugby 7s: Saliya appointed as Head Coach for Women’s Rugby Team

Saliya Kumara, the former Vidyartha, Trinity rugby player who represented the Kandy SC and the National Team in both formats will be the Head Coach for the Women’s rugby outfit at the Asia Rugby Sevens 2021 which will be worked off in UAE on 19-20 November.

Since there will be no Women’s sevens at the Warrior Rugby Sevens Sri Lanka Rugby (SLR) named a 40-member pool who will start their training under their Head Coach Saliya Kumara from 18 October at the Havelock Park with the accommodation provided at the Sugathadasa Hostel. He will be assisted by Sujani Ratnayake of CR & FC as the Assistant Coach.

The pool will be reduced by end of the month before the final touring squad being selected. All Men’s and Women’s players selected will be housed at the Sugathadasa Stadium Hostel.
