The Mastercard Inter Club Rugby Tournament will progress to its week 2 commencing today.
Week 1 saw wins for Sri Lanka Air Force, Havelocks and Kandy SC while CR had a free week. Meanwhile decision on Army SC vs. Police SC encounter which was called off after first half is pending with Sri Lanka Rugby. Sri Lions made their debut in A Division Rugby as well up in the Central Hills. Police SC will host CH & FC at Police Park today with the hosts hold the edge. Referee will be Aruna Shantha.
Tomorrow there will be two matches down for decision. Kandy Sports Club will be coming out for a second time when they host Army SC at Nittawela. Pacing out the game level of experience, they cannot be dominated easily. With Nigel Ratwatte, Tarunda Ratwatte, Kavindu Perera, Danushka Ranjan and Soori they have the cream of national players in their line-up. Referee will be Gihan Yatawara.
On the same day, Havies will be playing one of the toughest games when they travel to play Air Force at Ratmalana. Both teams ending on the winning side will be all out to continue their winning streak. Referee will be Ishanka Abeykoon.
On Sunday, defending champions, CR & FC will host Sri Lions under lights at Longdon Place. Referee will be Kelum Sandaruwan.
