Wesley College pulled off a good 27 points (4 tries, 2 conversions, 1 penalty) to 20 points (3 tries, 1 conversion, 1 drop goal) win over DS Senanayake College in their President’s Trophy Knockout quarter-final rugby encounter, which concluded at the Sugathadasa Stadium yesterday.

At the short breather, Wesley led 27/10.

Referee was Gihan Yatawara.

Wesley will meet defending champions St. Peter’s in their first semi-final on 7 September at the Royal Sports Complex.

In another Premier Trophy quarter-final encounter yesterday at the same venue, Piliyandala Central beat Lumbini 25/21.

Today, Prince of Wales will meet St. Benedict’s in another Premier Trophy quarter-final encounter, while in the President’s Trophy, S. Thomas’ will lock horns against Zahira. Both matches will be played at the Sugathadasa Stadium.

The winner of the Thomian vs. Zahira encounter will play Isipathana in the second semi-final on 8 September at the Royal Sports Complex. The final will take place at the Sugathadasa Stadium on 15 September.
