Win for CH keeps them in Cup segment

CH and FC pulled off a hard fought 18 points (3 tries, 1 penalty) to 12 points (2 tries, 1 conversion) win over Sri Lanka Police in their Inter Club rugby encounter which was worked off at Race Course ground yesterday.

At the short breather CH led 18/7.

CH tries were scored by Mohamed Absal, Gihan Madushanka and Gimhan Silva. Penalty was put over by Hirusha Sampath surprisingly missed all three try conversions. Meanwhile for Sri Lanka Police their tries were scored by Hirantha Perera and Mithun Hapugoda. One of the conversions was taken by Yohan Peiris.

Kandy SC, CR and FC, CH and FC and Havelock SC will feature in the Cup segment while all forces, Police SC, Air Force SC, Army SC and Navy SC will play in the Plate segment.

Referee was Hasantha Weranga.
