Wining century by Teejay Lanka’s Poorna highlight of MCA “E” division 25-Over League

Teejay Lanka late order batsman Poorna Chathuranga hit the first century against Emar Pharma in the ongoing 20th David Pieris Group of Companies sponsored, “DPGC” Challenge Trophy – MCA “E” division 25-Over League Tournament 2023.

Teejay Lanka was in a spot of bother, losing five wickets for 75 runs in 11.2 overs before Poorna Chathuranga went in to bat:

Poorna Chathuranga remained not out scoring 101 runs in 53 balls hitting 05 sixes and 12 fours as Teejay Lanka finished with a challenging total of 218/7 in 25 overs.

Teejay Lanka’s right arm off spinner Tharaka Dinesh with a mesmerising spell of 4.5 overs with 29 runs and six wickets skittled out Emar Pharma for 121 runs in 22.3 overs to win by 97 runs.

The other impressive performances were by Shalindra Perera from Bandix Essentials (85 not out in 49 balls inclusive of 6 sixes and 6 fours vs, Virtusa), Chamalka Fernando from Stafford Motors (85 runs in 34 balls inclusive of 5 sixes and 7 fours vs. Virtusa) and Dumindu Ranasinghe from Virtusa (5 overs 2 maidens 4 runs 5 wickets vs. LOLC).
