The new Dialog School Rugby League 2020 kicked off in Colombo yesterday with the defending knockout champions St Peter’s College outclassing Dharmaraja College with a win by 50 points (8 tries, 5 conversion) to 14 points (2 tries, 2 conversions) at Bambalapitiya yesterday.
At the short breather, St Peter’s led 26/7.
In the junior games, St Peter’s won the Under 12 by 10/5, Under 14 by 26/12 and the Under 16 by 36 to nothing.
Meanwhile, Joes will host Kingswood College at Havelock Park in their first encounter today.
Trinity will come out for the first time when they host Thomians in the Canon de Seram trophy encounter on 6 March. Trinity is led by Tehan Karunanayake while Thomians are led by Revanka Abeywardena. Royal, the defending League champions, will start their encounter against Katugastota Antonians on 7 March.
