World Junior Golf Tournament tees off in Thailand

The Singha Thai World Junior Golf Tournament commenced in Hua Hin, Thailand with over 100 exceptional golfers teeing off.

Reshan Algama, Dhanushan, Kaya Daluwatta, and Sherine Balasuriya in order to accumulate valuable Amateur World Ranking points. Among them, Reshan Algama, Kumar Dhanushan, and Kaya Daluwatta already possess world amateur golf rankings. Joining this elite group from Sri Lanka are Jevahn Sathasivam, Jecob Norton, Kaiyan Johnpillai, and Thejas Rathis Kanth, who are equally determined to make their presence felt in the tournament.

On day 1, Reshan Algama, secured a remarkable tie on 10th position while followed by the enterprising and long range hitter Jevahn Sathasivam who too was in sparkling form, and finished tied on 14th position, while Kumar Danushan ended the day tied 16th position, and Jacob finishing tied on 25th place. Thirty Boys teed off in this segment. Thanatasorn Phisitbuntoon (Thailand) and Jonathan Mikanda (USA) were on top position end of the initial day.

In the Girls segment highly talented Kaya Daluwatte, who is presently playing golf in India, secured a commendable 10th place tied while Sherine Balasooriya finished in 17th place. Once again 30 youngsters played in this segment. Indian girl Prithvi Tanishka was leading in this segment end of day 1. Kaiyan Johnpillai secured an overall tied 7th while closely followed by Thejas Rathis Kanth, who claimed the 11th position with a 13 over round but a possible bounce back on the card by this youngster.
