The Yeti Open Squash Championship 2023, conducted by Sri Lanka Squash (SLS) and sponsored by Yeti for the second successive year will commence today at the Air Force Squash Complex in Ratmalana.
The tournament will continue until 23 April and will resume on 28 April with the finals scheduled for 30 April at the same venue.
The events that will be worked off are the Men’s Open Singles, Women’s Open Singles, Boys’ and Girls’ Under-9, Under-13, Under-15, Under-17, Under-19, Novices Boys’ and Girls’ Under-9, Under-11 and Under-15.
These details were revealed by the SLS Secretary Eranga Alwis and Yeti Director Dr. Dilshan Balasuriya during a media briefing held at the Yeti Head Office in Colombo.
“We are excited to partner with SLS for the second consecutive year to sponsor the Yeti Open Squash Championship 2023, in our quest to support the sportsmen and women and to optimise their talent,” Yeti Director Balasuriya emphasised.
SLS President Suren Kohombange said: “Yeti has been a strategic partner for the last three years in helping us uplift players' nutrition standards as well as helping us organise events.” As part of the sponsorship, the squash players registered with SLS will have access to the elite Yeti portfolio of sports isotonic products
