Mohammed Siraj’s parents

Mohammed Siraj who dedicated his ‘Player of the Match’ cash prize of $ 5000 to the Sri Lankan groundsmen, hails from a poor family.

Father, Mohamed Gouse, is a poor three-wheel driver and his mother is an ordinary housewife. But they had a big dream about Siraj and they taught great qualities. It's a great parenting story to share.

“The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, and to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson.

Sri Lanka lost the Asia Cup with an unexpected defeat. Siraj was instrumental in making it happen. But he left a great life lesson to the entire world. – (Facebook)
