Zahira College Colombo Post Primary Sports Meet

Zahira College Colombo’s annual inter house sports meet (Post Primary) was held at the College Grounds recently.  It was held under the patronage of Principal Triizvy Marikkar. Chief Guest, Education Ministry Director of Physical Education Development and Training Col. Manjula Kariyawasam, and Spectra Logistics Director and distinguished Old Boy A.M.A. Amir distributed prizes to the winners of the events.

 The overall championship was won by the Angora and Cordova Houses with 161 points, Bagdad House was in second place with 120 points and Istanbul House with 114 points obtained third place.

 Angora and Cordova Houses became Joint Champions this year and Angora House Captain Manaz Mafaz and Cordova House Captain Ashraff Aleem received the challenge shield from Col. Kariyawasam.  Head of Prefects Mafaz Mihular proposed the vote of thanks.

Chairman of the Board of Governors Fouzul Hameed, Secretary Alavi Mukthar, Principal Triizvy Marikkar, Prefect of Games and Meet Secretary Muhiseen Ariff, Board of Governors Sports Sub Committee Chairman M.S.M. Faiz, Senior Vice Principal Ananda Ponnemperuma, Vice Principals, Old Boys Association President M.U.M. Azmi, members of the Board of Governors, teachers, Old Boys and parents were also present.
