The Old Boys Association of Zahira College is in the process of organising an annual ‘Sports Extravaganza’ which is a series of sporting events in line with its Annual Fellowship Day Programme.
The Badminton event took place on 24 September at the Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium while the Bowling at the Excel World Bowling Alley was on 25 September respectively.
Adding glamour to the sports Go Karting event that will be held at Port City on 1 October.
All other events Cricket, Football, Rugby, Hockey, Swimming, Table Tennis, Rifle Shooting, 8 Ball Pool, Do You Know Contest will be slated on 2 October at the College ground.
There are nearly 40 affiliated Groups and Batches from the 1960s era to the recently left old boys of 2020 who will be battling it out for the coveted “President Shield”.
Old Boys’ Association President Alavi Mukthar, Secretary Nuzri Munsoor, Project Chairman Azhar Salahudeen and the Executive Committee of the Association are making an elaborate arrangement for the grand finale on 2 October.
The closing day will be graced by Hayleys Fentons CEO Sujith De Alvis as the Chief Guest, along with the Board of Governors Chairman Fouzul Hameed, Principal Trizviey Marrikar, and all other stakeholders of the Association.
