A six-hour endurance race was held at the Sri Lanka Karting Circuit on 18 October with the participation of 12 teams, both local and foreign. With a string of successful karting events staged in the recent past, Carlton Motor Sports Club, Asian Motor Racing Club and Sri Lanka Karting Circuit made a sterling effort in pulling off this event, the first ever day-and-night endurance race to be held at the venue. Though the weather wreaked havoc during the event, it did not dampen the enthusiasm of the competitors or the spirit of the game. It sure was a test of their staying power. The winners: RL Karting – Melvin Moh, Aaaron Lim and Pominic Ang; RHC Racing – Shyamal Mendis, Angelo Senaratne, Dinesh Pathirana and Rikaaz Khalid; BKMS Racing – Kevin Perera, Brayan Perera, Saman Perera and Ushan Perera; Raptor Racing – Taffy Alahakoon and Aamir Ghaffoor; West Bay Racing – Emdad Hussain, Dhulmith Mendis, Nadeera Jinasena and Brian Senaratne.
