Airtel’s ‘recharge and win’ winners announced

Bharti Airtel, a leading global telecommunications company with operations in 20 countries across Asia and Africa, recently announced the 10 lucky winners of the ‘recharge and win’ competition, who were able to witness the grand finale of the T20 world cup on 3 April in Kolkata, India. 

The 10 lucky winners namely; Asanka Senavirathna from Kegalle, Sampath Perera from Borella, Ikram M. Baasar of Mount Lavinia, Gihan Kumara of Wattala, Sandeep Jayawardena of Ganemulla, Jeewanthra Indrasiri of Kiridiwela, Supun Madusanka of Narahenpita, Gayan Adikari of Mawanella, Tharanga Weerakoon of Kandy and Hiroshan Maheshkumara of Ampara collected their match passes and airline tickets from Bharti Airtel Lanka Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer Jinesh Hegde at the award ceremony held at The Hilton Residences, Colombo 2.  These winners, one who has been a loyal customer since inception, some who have been on the network for the past four years, and some just as nine months will now eligible to an all-expense paid trip - which would consist of four days three nights, to witness the finals of the World T20 at Eden Gardens- Kolkata, India.

Having experienced the immense acceptance/hype of this competition, Hegde said: “I am so overwhelmed with the response we received through this competition since its commencement. Sri Lanka is a cricketing nation and cricket is a sport loved by the masses – especially the youth.  Airtel has always been about new, exciting and exclusive experiences and this promotional campaign is proof to our efforts of creating value for the season.”

Airtel Lanka’s ‘recharge and win’ promotion commenced on 25 February. All Airtel Lanka prepaid customers across the country recharging their account with Rs. 30, 49, 50, 95, 99 and 100 were eligible for this promotion and had the opportunity to win other exciting gifts such as Airtel minutes/data/SMS, T-shirts, cricket balls, miniature bats, wigs, fielding bands, sun glasses and many more exciting cricket based merchandising– instantly, on a daily basis.
