In Alliance Finance’s quest to continuously support the star Badminton player, Sachin Dias, who won a Bronze medal at the Mixed Doubles event at the 2014 World Youth Olympics held in Nan Jin, China and in his journey towards excelling as a sportsman and in recognition of hisexcellence, the company gifted him and his family with a Three-Wheeler recently.

Sachin’s parents in response to this said, that a gift of this nature will no doubt be a great asset in assisting with their son’s day to day needs in regards to his travelling to the various sports practices and tournaments in the country. Sachin’s parents expressed their gratitude for having given Sachin a chance in life to excel in his favourite sport, the moral support rendered and for the generosity towards his overall growth.
At the time the former Chairman Mr Prathap Kumar de Silva, first recognized Sachin’s talent, his placing in the world badminton rankings was at 600. With the support of Alliance Finance, Sachin was able to climb up to 32nd position.
Alliance Finance stepped forward as his sponsor from then on, to cover all financial costs related to his sporting equipment, foreign travel, training facilities, education, nutrition and medical expenses, leaving him free to concentrate wholeheartedly in his passion and bring fame and glory to Sri Lanka by participating in national and international badminton tournaments.
Mr Romani de Silva expressed that Alliance Finance is honoured and proud to have been able to assist and witness Sachin achieve his dreams and goals, both in sports and as an exceptional citizen of Sri Lanka. He also said that Sachin has proved himself a candidate worthy of any support he can get in his sports and career. Mr Romani de Silva sees this as a good example of corporate stewardship by Alliance Finance in its role as a triple bottom-line focused business organisation.
