Amarapadma shoots 6 under to take lead in January Grand Prix

Veteran Golfer Amarapadma fired a six under par 65, to storm in to an eight stroke lead from overall Grand Prix leader B. A. Sanjeewa, while young Uchitha Ranasinghe on 147 stayed in contention. The cut-off was implemented at 166, with 26 players making the cut. All juniors were not subjected to the cut, giving them an opportunity to develop their game playing among the best in Sri Lanka.

However, T. Akash and Januka Dilshan made the cut of the juniors and will fight it out for junior supremacy. The 3rd round after the cut-off continues at the RCGC and concludes on Friday 27 January 2017.
