Amritha and Medhira grab Women’s Open Doubles title

Fed Cup players Amritha Muttiah and Medhira Samarasinghe paired together to comfortably beat second-seeded Kemalie Herath and Shenalie Weerasekera 6-1 6-2 to record their second consecutive National Women’s Doubles win. Prior to this win Samarasinghe also won the doubles in 2013 and 2014. Earlier at the Junior National Championships, Samarasinghe won the Girls Under-18 Singles title.
