Ananda College to get free land in Kotte for new playground

Cabinet this week approved the free grant of land in Kotte for Ananda College, Colombo for its playground.

This was on a proposal made by the President Mahinda Rajapaksa as the Minister of Defence and Urban Development, to revert the block of land more than three and a half acres in extent, situated at Buthgamuwa Rajagiriya, to the Land Commissioner General, for handing over it as a free grant to Ananda College, Colombo 10, for the development of a playground.

The Cabinet also decided to allocate another block of land at Rajagiriya to the, Sri Jayewardhanapura, Kotte Municipal Council, to establish the Chandra de Silva Playground.
