Annual TTSC Bowling Championships 2016 on Saturday

A record number of 72 teams from 32 member firms will participate in the 15th Annual Travel Trade Sports Club Bowling Championships 2016 sponsored for the first time by Opanima Gems and Jewelry Ltd., Kandy.

The event will be held on Saturday, 6 August, at the refurbished Strikes Cosmic Bowling Centre, Excel World, TB Jayah Mawatha, Colombo 10, commencing at 1 p.m. 

The teams are: Luxe Asia (2015 winner), Amadeus Lanka, Aitken Spence Travels, Classic Travels, Diethlem Travels, Eco Team, Emirates, Exotic Holidays, Hemas Air Services, Hayleys Tours, Hayleys Travels, Mackinnons AE Travels, Viluxur Holidays and Walkers Tours (all with three teams each); Amaya Resorts, Aitken Spence Aviation, Asian Adventures, Authenticites (making their debut), Connaissance de Ceylan, Green Holidays, Holiday Plan (making their debut), N. Kar Travels, Resplendent Ceylon, (making their debut), Serendib Leisure, SriLankan Airlines and The Kingsbury (all with two teams each); Galiliyo, Shums Travels, Traveler Global, Travel Outlook (making their debut) and Cinnamon Hotels Colombo (all with one team each)

After all 72 teams finish one round of bowling, the top scoring 36 teams will qualify for the Semi Finals and from there, the top scoring 12 teams will advance to the Final round. The top scorer in the final round will receive a Gold Medallion.

Sarath Sumanaweera, Managing Director of Opanima Gems & Jewelry Ltd., Kandy, will be the Chief Guest at the Finals and Awards.
