Asanga elected President SLRFU

Former St. Thomas Combined Schools, CR&FC, Sri Lanka Rugby Player & Former National Coach Asanga Senewirathne was elected President of the Sri Lanka Rugby Football Union (SLRFU) Uncontested at the Sri Lanka Rugby Football Union Annual General Meeting, held at Waters Edge in Battramulla last evening.



Lasitha Gunarathne was Vice President as Mohan Samarakoon withdrew his Nomination. Shane Dullewa withdrew his Nomination Contesting from the post of Secretary.

Rizly Illiyass former Peterite Rugby Player and Sri Lanka National Rugby Team Manager and President of WPRFU was elected as Secretary while Keran Atapattu was retained as treasurer.

The seven elected Council member are as follows: Fazal Mohammed, Roshan Deen, Prasantha Wimalasena, Maj Gen Daya Rathanayake, Rear Admiral Jayantha Perera, Brig Sunil Ranasinghe and Chula Dharmadasa.
