Asia Pacific Amateur Golf Championship in Bangkok

The four-day Asia Pacific Amateur Golf Championship will tee off tomorrow in Bangkok at its Amata Spring Country Club, featuring 120 players.

Sri Lankan team comprises N. Thangaraja, Sisira Kumara, M. Arumugam, N. Ranga, Vijitha Bandara, and B.A. Rohana.



Some of the other amateur golfers will be from India, Malaysia, Philippines, Guam, Australia, Bahrain, Cambodia, UAE, Myanmar, Bhutan, China, Cook Island, Fiji, Honk Kong, Indonesia, Iran, Japan, Korea, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Lebanon, Macau, Magnolia, Nepal, New Zealand, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Qatar, Solomon Island, Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore, Samoa, and Chinese Taipei.

The winner will receive an invitation for the Masters Tournament 2013 and runner(s) up will gain a place in International Final Qualifying for 2013 Open Championship. The tournament will be telecast in ESPN Star Sri Lankan time between 13.30 p.m. and 15.30 p.m.
