Australians likely to play at Asgiriya

The visiting Australian cricketers will be in the island for three test matches, four one day internationals plus a three-day game. The Trinity College cricket stadium at Asgiriya, which hosted its first Test match way back n 1983, is likely to get the nod to host the three-day encounter between the two teams.

This will be good news for the Kandy cricket fans, as the stadium is situated close to town and one of the most beautiful grounds. Even the former Pakistan Cricket captain Imran Khan was highly taken up about the grounds some time back.
