Junior Tennis 10’s April Tournament

In keeping with the Bartleet Finance (BFL) culture of encouraging sporting activities, the company recently signed a sponsorship agreement with the Sri Lanka Tennis Association (SLTA), wherein they sponsored the Junior Tennis Initiative (JTI) which commenced with the three Tennis 10’s (Under 10) tournaments held in April.

The three Tennis 10’s tournaments were held at Ananda College from 6 to 8 April with 180 participants from Colombo, Negombo, Kurunegala and Kalutara. The Kurunegala tournament was held from 9 to 11 April with 150 participants from Colombo, Negombo, Kalutara and Kandy. The Bandarawela tournament was held on 15 and 16 April with 150 participants from Colombo, Negombo, Kurunegala and Kalutara.

BFL CEO/Managing Director Eraj Wijesinghe said the company hopes to provide a lending hand to under-privileged children island wide and tap young talented players; creating a pathway for young potential competitors at a national level. My aim is to finally produce a player who would do the country proud at an international level.”   

BFL Asst. General Manager Sanjeewa Seneviratne reaffirmed their commitment when they financially supported two players in the Sri Lanka Junior Federation Cup (under 16) team , namely Kavindya De Silva from Negombo and Chalini Gunatileke from Kurunegala who were sent to Malaysia for the Junior Federation Cup Pre Qualifying Tournament Asia Oceania Zone. Sri Lanka won fourth place.
