Himaz Baslin of Rahula College was adjudged the Under 14 boys’ champ at the Matara District Inter-School Swimming Championship, organised by the St. Servatius College Aquatic Sports Association and held at the Rahula College pool.
Baslin, who is coached by Mahinda Wickremasuriya and Nirosh Chaminda, won gold medals in the 25-meter freestyle and backstroke events and a bronze in the 25-meter breaststroke and 100-meter individual medley events.
