The sixth BMW /Hyundai Trophy, MCA ‘C’ Division 50-over League Tournament 2017 reached its quarterfinals as the league stage of the tournament came to a close on Sunday.
In the last match of the league stage, Peoples Leasing Co. (PLC) scored a comfortable six-wicket win over JL Morison at St. Benedict’s College Grounds, Kotahena.
The highlight in the last league game was the sparkling century scored by the PLC opening batsman, Krishan Rodrigo, who carried his bat out after scoring 108 in 87 balls, while hitting 6 sixes and 10 fours. In the process Rodrigo was engaged in a 158-run stand for the fourth wicket with Isuru Perera (51) which came off 128 balls.
