BOC sponsors National Junior Athletic Meet

The National Junior Athletic Meet was held from 16 to 19 May at the Diyagama Mahinda Rajapaksa Stadium which was a great success. Four new meet records were added to the books at the meet. Bank of Ceylon (BOC) sponsored the event this year as well, while BOC General Manager D.M. Gunasekera participated for the event as the chief Guest.

Most outstanding boy’s athlete in the U23 age category was D.M. Malintha Dissanayake of the Sri Lankan Army and most outstanding Girls’ athlete in the U23 age category was W.P.E.R. Dulakshi of the Sri Lankan Air Force. Both received their trophies from Gunasekera at the Junior National Athletics Championships Meet.
