Briefing for new Sri Lanka Cricket Ex-Co

Sri Lanka Cricket announced yesterday that the newly appointed Executive Committee of SLC met for the first time.

President of Sri Lanka Cricket Jayantha Dharmadasa welcomed the new committee together with Secretary Nishantha Ranatunga.

At the outset of this meeting the Actg. CEO Ashley De Silva presented to the new committee an overview of the cricket activities, the current structure and the way forward based on SLC’s 4 year strategic plan leading up to the 2015 World Cup.

The following topics were covered in detail: organisational structure, finance, marketing and administration, coaching and cricket operations. He also emphasised the importance of exploring the possibility of providing the following facilities at international stadiums; indoor nets, swimming pool and accommodation for outstation cricketers.

Director SLPL Ajit Jayasekara gave an overview of the SLPL 2012 and the new plans for the coming year.

The newly appointed committee will meet on the 9 May 2013 for the 1st Executive Committee meeting.
