Brown and Company Annual Sports Day 2015

Brown and Company PLC celebrated its Sports Day organising a wide range of sports and recreational activities on 12 September at the BRC Grounds.

The atmosphere was abuzz with excitement, colour and intense competition as the Browns Group gathered as one family for a day of camaraderie, fun and good sport.

This year as the Browns Group embarks on a milestone of 140 years of business excellence, the Sports Day was of extra significance as it enabled the Browns Family to gather on a level playing field to kick start and celebrate this remarkable achievement.

With humble beginnings in 1872 by a young English entrepreneur James Brown setting up shop as a bicycle repair business, Brown and Company was established in 1875 to manufacture agricultural machinery. The company has grown from strength to strength venturing into various industries and is now firmly established in seven key industries; Power Generation, Home and Office Solutions, Agriculture and Plantation Support Services, Pharmaceuticals, Investments, Marine and Manufacturing and Healthcare.

Making its mark as a household name across the island, Browns has expanded its portfolio, working with global brands and has achieved significant market leadership, in constantly delivering quality products and services.
