The 5th annual AmCham-NDB Bowling Tournament, organised by the American Chamber of Commerce in Sri Lanka (AmCham), was held on 14 November at the Excel World Entertainment Park.
Buraque Travels emerged victorious with an impressive 785 points. Commercial Bank’s B team was the first runner-up with 724 points and Melbourne Textile Washing Plant was second runner-up with 676 points.
Riyaj Fasik of Buraque Travels won the award for ‘Best Male Player’ with 196 points, while Jacky Fernandez of Screenline Holdings was awarded ‘Best Female Player’ accolade with 131 points.
With the unprecedented participation of 41 teams from leading companies, the teams comprised five members, with the tournament conducted on a knock-out basis. All 41 teams played one round and the top three teams were crowned winners.
National Development Bank (NDB) was the principal sponsor of this year’s event.
