Carlton Super Cross, the second motor race of the 6 race The Sri Lanka Super Series 2014 championship will kick off on 8 and 9 March at the Kiridi Oya Naval Detachment – Tissamaharama. Entries are accepted at Speed Drome Battaramulla and SLARDAR office Nugegoda and will be closed on 28 February 2014. While cash prizes will be up for grabs for the champions, certificates and trophies will be presented to high performing riders and drivers.
Most popular events for cars (in addition to all SLAS classified events) that will be worked out are- Group ‘SLH’ Cars up to 1000CC, Group ‘SLH’ Cars up to 1600CC, Group ‘SLS’ Cars up to 1500CC and Group ‘SLGT’ Cars up to 3500CC. Again, in addition to FMSSL events the most popular bike events that will in action are – Group ‘Super SM’ Supermotard Bikes Over 175CC up to 250CC (2T) and Over 290CC up to 450CC (4T) and Group ‘MX’ Racing Motocross Bikes 100CC up to 125CC (2 Stroke) and 175CC up to 250CC (4 Stroke).
Organised by the Carlton Motor Sports Club, the Sri Lanka Association of Racing Drivers and Riders (SLARDAR) and the Asian Motor Racing Club (AMRC), under the guidance of the Ministry of Sports and Sri Lanka Automobile Sports (SLAS), the Sri Lanka Super Series 2014 is a revolutionary concept in motor racing in Sri Lanka.
