Carlton Super Cross Tissamaharama ends on high note

Carlton Super Cross, the second motor race of the Sri Lanka Super Series 2014 championship ended on a high note at Tissamaharama. After an entertaining event of nearly 20 category racing and biking events ultimately, Ashan Silva emerged as the overall Best Driver and Ivon Gurusinghe was tagged as the Best Rider whilst Ravi Mayadunne was adjudged as the winner in the Truck and Jeep Highest Placed Diesel Competitor Category.
Most popular events for cars (in addition to all SLAS classified events) included Group “SLH” Cars up to 1000CC, Group “SLH” Cars up to 1600CC, Group “SLS” Cars up to 1500CC and Group “SLGT” Cars up to 3500CC.
Again, in addition to FMSSL events the most popular bike events in action were Group “Super SM” Supermotard Bikes Over 175CC up to 250CC (2T) and Over 290CC up to 450CC (4T) and Group “MX” Racing Motocross Bikes 100CC up to 125CC (2 Stroke) and 175CC up to 250CC (4 Stroke). Organised by the Carlton Motor Sports Club, the Sri Lanka Association of Racing Drivers and Riders (SLARDAR) and the Asian Motor Racing Club (AMRC), under the guidance of the Ministry of Sports and Sri Lanka Automobile Sports (SLAS), the Sri Lanka Super Series 2014 is a revolutionary concept in motor racing in Sri Lanka.
