CAT Solar flags off Pin Fernando Grand Prix 2017

The Sri Lanka Golf Union January edition of the Pin Fernando Grand Prix 2017 was flagged off by Chief Marketing Officer Nalin Manoratne of UTE Ltd. – the sole authorised dealer for Cat Solar.

A competitive field of over 70 players teed-off, with juniors and ladies participating tooo. In windy conditions, one of the leading Sri Lanka National team players M. Arumugam returned an Even Par best card for the day. Seasoned campaigner N. Amarapadma, R. Sureshan; youngsters Chalitha Pushpika and Uchitha Ranasinghe tied in second place one stroke behind the leader.

T. Akash, with a 77 led by one in the junior field from Januka Dilshan who returned a 78. Representatives from the Defense Services too are in the hunt, with G. Sridharan (76), Danusha Perera(78), Saman Rupasinghe (78), all from the Navy, not too far off the leader. The second round gets underway at the RCGC Course on Wednesday 25 January 2017.
