CEAT blows away the competition at Gunner Supercross

The CEAT Racing Team outgunned the opposition in characteristic style at the 2016 Gunner Supercross to win the Driver Championship, the Car Team Championship and secure 17 podium finishes.

CEAT’s ace driver Ushan Perera was in sizzling form, winning both races for SLGT Super Cars to be adjudged Champion Driver at the meet, and together with team mate Malika Kuruvitarachchi took the Car Team Championship.

This was the fourth consecutive Car Team Championship for the CEAT Racing Team at races conducted by the Sri Lanka Auto-sports Drivers Association (SLADA) for the 2016 CEAT SLADA Championship.

Emphatically stamping the team’s dominance of the SLGT Supercars (3500cc) events, members of the CEAT Racing Team took the first three places in both races at the Gunner Supercross.

In all, the CEAT Racing Team secured five 1st places, four 2nd places, five 3rd places and three fourth places at this year’s Gunner Supercross. The team members that won their respective races were Ushan Perera (two), Devin Serasinghe and Evon B. Gurusinghe (two).

The CEAT Racing Team for 2016 comprises of Upulwan Serasinghe, Janaka Dias, Pasindu Peiris, Lalin Kirinda, Prasanna De Alwis, Lt. Colonel Duminda Jayasinghe, Lt. Colonel Indu Samarakoon, Ushan Perera, Malika Kuruvitarachchi, Gayantha Rangana, Devin Serasinghe, Evon B. Gurusinghe and Deshan Solanki.

The team races under CEAT colours at the five race meets conducted by the Sri Lanka Auto-sports Drivers Association (SLADA) for the 2016 CEAT SLADA Championship. CEAT Sri Lanka is also the title sponsor of the ‘CEAT Sri Lanka Super Series’ comprising of another four race meets conducted in 2016 by the Sri Lanka Association of Racing Drivers and Riders (SLARDAR).
