The adrenaline rush of Formula 1 racing at night will hit five lucky Sri Lankans who have won Grand Stand seats at the 2015 Singapore Grand Prix, plus air travel and accommodation in Singapore from CEAT, Sri Lanka’s highest-selling tyre brand.
For Janith De Silva, Anuka Gunawardena, Dinesh Pillai, Rolinka Perera and Anandhie Vilavaraja, responding to on-air quiz programs on four radio stations was all it took to win this dream package to experience the sights and sounds of hi-octane racing on the Marina Bay Street Circuit.
They were among hundreds of listeners who participated in a promotion for CEAT’s high-riding ‘Milaze’ range of radial tyres on EFM, Lite FM, Yes FM and Kiss FM in July and August this year.
The prizes include Economy Class return air tickets, four days’ accommodation at the four-star Grand Pacific Hotel in Singapore, transfers, Bay Grand Stand tickets and F1 gift hampers worth $ 100 each. The winners will also have access to concerts by three iconic acts – Maroon 5, Bon Jovi and Pharrell Williams that coincide with the Singapore Grand Prix this year.
The 2015 Formula I Singapore Grand Prix takes place from 18 to 20 September.
“CEAT’s dominance in the radial tyre segment makes our association with motorsport logical and extremely synergistic,” said CEAT Kelani Holdings Vice President Sales and Marketing Ravi Dadlani. “The brand has become synonymous with the local motor racing championship as a result of CEAT’s support to the racing fraternity, while its credentials on the road are borne out by its status as the market leader in the category.”
CEAT is the highest selling radial tyre brand in Sri Lanka, accounting for a market share of 31 per cent. The brand currently has 31 sizes of radial tyres in the market, with 22 for cars, six for vans and fourfor sports utility vehicles (SUVs).
